And the winner is...

Yesterday was a very important day in American history. People in record numbers flocked to the polls to cast their vote for the next president of the United States. After a grueling day, the results began to come in state by state. After all the ballots had been tallied, Barack Obama was declared the winner. His 364 electoral votes compared to John McCain's 163 brought in a great victory for the democratic party, but we shouldn't underestimate the popularity of McCain. He was only down by a mere 2 percentage points in the popular vote and put up a good fight for a Republican in a country set on changing things up. I must say, I was one of those people who were screaming at their TV's last night like a football fan for John McCain. I really wanted him to win for so many reasons, so I hope Obama will be able to pull through for us.
